The enhancement and promotion of multilingualism in European language-educational policy has led to the definition of the so-called “plural approaches”, which integrate different languages and cultures into curricular planning and teaching activities. Such approaches have been tested and disseminated in the context of school education and, for some time now, research has also involved the field of university education. In this contribution we intend to illustrate didactic scenarios and learning environments in the university context, implemented in courses of Italian for foreign students organised by the Servizio Linguistico di Ateneo of the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, where the dimension of plurilingualism becomes a key element for the transmission of knowledge and for intercultural communication.

Abstract
