L'opportunità storica dei sistemi intelligenti

The now widespread link between the organic and the artificial does not exempt us from reflection on personal decisions and responsibility towards others and history. AI and its intelligent systems are not a threat, but rather are an extraordinary opportunity to bring man back to himself, to bring the mind back to the mystery where it comes from. In this ever new relationship I see no dangers of any kind other than the possibility, which would be affirmed for the umpteenth time in known history, for mankind to exhibit its bold and careless foolishness.

Il vincolo ormai diffuso dell’organico con l’artificiale non esonera dalla riflessione sulle decisioni personali e sulla responsabilità nei confronti degli altri e della storia. L’IA e i suoi sistemi intelligenti non rappresentano una minaccia, ma sono un’opportunità straordinaria per ricondurre l’uomo a se stesso, per riportare la mente al mistero da cui proviene. In questa sempre nuova relazione non vedo pericoli di sorta se non la possibilità, che sarebbe affermata per l’ennesima volta nella storia conosciuta, che l’uomo esibisca la sua baldanzosa e sbadata stoltezza.
