Family, school, and services cannot best fulfil their mission of growth and education of children, if they act in isolation and self- referential manner; they need to enter relationship, interact, and collaborate. It is necessary, in this regard, to take a systemic view (Bertalanffy, 1971), which allows us to recognize that such insti- tutions and services cannot perceive themselves as closed, but must think of themselves as open systems, establishing relation- ships, interchanging with the outside world.

Abstract
Family, school, and services cannot best fulfil their mission of growth and education of children, if they act in isolation and self- referential manner; they need to enter relationship, interact, and collaborate. It is necessary, in this regard, to take a systemic view (Bertalanffy, 1971), which allows us to recognize that such insti- tutions and services cannot perceive themselves as closed, but must think of themselves as open systems, establishing relation- ships, interchanging with the outside world.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
