This essay traces the biographical profile, and describes the research and scientific work of Francesco Vattioni and of Luigi Cagni, two eminent Orientalists of Brescia. At the same time, the initiatives of the Catholic University of the Sacred Hearth - Brescia are presented to celebrate their memory, twenty years after their death.
