Sul radicamento degli imprenditori e dei lavoratori autonomi stranieri: evidenze dal contesto lombardo

The article examines ethnic entrepreneurship in Lombardy. More in particular, drawing from the data and information of the Ismu Foundation dataset, it first shows the quantitative consistence and the main peculiarities of the phenomenon. Then it investigates the latest trends, interpreting them in the light of foreigners’ possession of cognitive and normative resources of the host society. As it is discussed, such perspective, that focuses on the ways in which social structures affect economic action, offers an interesting key to read the decrease of ethnic entrepreneurship in the actual economic conjuncture.

L’articolo mette a tema il lavoro autonomo e imprenditoriale degli immi-grati stranieri in Lombardia. Più in particolare, attingendo dal vasto patrimonio informativo accumulato negli anni dalla Fondazione Ismu, dapprima chiarisce la consistenza quantitativa e le peculiarità del fenomeno e quindi ne indaga le dinamiche di sviluppo recenti interpretandole, nei loro esiti, alla luce del possesso di risorse cognitive e normative specifiche della società di approdo. Tale prospettiva analitica e intepretativa, che dunque intende l’occupazione autonoma e l’imprenditorialità immigrate come forme di agire economico socialmente radicato offre un’interessante chiave di lettura dei processi che si vanno evidenziando nell’attuale congiuntura economica.
