The essay is the introduction to the works of Gabriella Benedini that figure in an exhibition realized in Fondazione Sabe in Ravenna. The works cover a certain period of the career of the artist, concerning most of all her way of interpreting the themes of exploring and travelling through lands and cultures with her installations, made with found materials, assembled with a strong sensitivity. She refers to the image of arps, sundials and scientific instruments, creating metaphors of the way of looking at the world and the sky.
