The year 2020 was an unprecedented time for educational systems around the world. Never before in history had students of all grades found themselves almost simultaneously out of school and university. The current historical moment requires that fundamental decisions be taken through the promotion of educational processes inspired by principles of solidarity with a view to building new paradigms capable of responding to the challenges and emergencies of the contemporary world. Education, indeed, plays a major role in the relationship between fraternity and development. In particular, universities represent a real bridge between the world of education and society and could play an active role in the development of a new model of educational commitment.

Abstract

The year 2020 was an unprecedented time for educational systems around the world. Never before in history had students of all grades found themselves almost simultaneously out of school and university. The current historical moment requires that fundamental decisions be taken through the promotion of educational processes inspired by principles of solidarity with a view to building new paradigms capable of responding to the challenges and emergencies of the contemporary world.
