The essay intends to reflect on the court of Eugene de Beauharnais, from when on 7 June 1805 he became viceroy of the Kingdom of Italy until his fall in April 1814. It is in fact a very short story, only 9 years. Certainly an intense period, full of events, but short to easily identify significant courtly dynamics. The court of Beauharnais actually consolidates over time, following the fortunes and misfortunes of the emperor and owes to the role and ability of the two princes, Eugene but above all his wife Amalia Augusta of Bavaria, the construction of a progressive consent to the Kingdom of Italy.
