Il sindacato

The volume republishes a long entry “Sindacato” (Trade Union), which firstly appeared in the renowned legal encyclopaedia “Digesto delle discipline privatistiche sezione commerciale”. Unionism is analysed not only from the point of view of legal scholars, but also by discussing the opinion of other social scientists, such as economists, experts of politics and industrial relations. The author deals in depth with the most important structural and functional aspects of Trade Unions. He finds that “organisation”, which is placed not by chance at the beginning of art. 39 of Italian Constitution (devoted to Trade Unions), is the most important feature of unionism.

Il volume riproduce un'ampia voce sul "Sindacato", apparsa nel Digesto delle discipline privatistiche sezione commerciale. Il fenomeno sindacale è analizzato non soltanto nel confronto con la dottrina giuridica, ma anche con politologi, economisti e cultori di relazioni industriali. Sono poi affrontati nel dettaglio i principali profili strutturali e funzionali che caratterizzano il sindacato. L'autore coglie nella "organizzazione", non a caso posta in apertura dell'art. 39, Cost., il tratto caratterizzante del fenomeno sindacale.
