This book (now in its second edition, enlarged and enriched with a large introduction) collects all the “econoliterary instalments” (i.e. dealing with the relationships between literature in English and economy/economics) of a Business English Course which Enrico Reggiani wrote and edited for the Italian economics newspaper Il Sole 24 Ore del Lunedì for more than twenty years (1986-2008). The “econoliterary instalments” were originally published in the summer trimesters during the decade 1999-2006. In those years, Reggiani’s column in its ordinary form became weekly and was organized in three sections: THE complete TRANSLATION of a specialized article on socio-political-economic subjects from The Financial Times; THE SPECIALIZED LEXICON: THE DICTIONARY, a commented glossary of the most important specialized terms recurring in the article; THE SPECIALIZED LEXICON: THE KEYWORDS, where fundamental specialized words and phrases from the same article are commented from various points of view: linguistic, literary, cultural, institutional, et al. The course’s summer “econoliterary instalments” follow the same editorial structure as the ordinary ones, but substitute the articles from The Financial Times with relevant passages from literary works in English (novels, poems, plays, essays, et al.).

Abstract
The course’s summer “econoliterary instalments” follow the same editorial structure as the ordinary ones, but substitute the articles from The Financial Times with relevant passages from literary works in English (novels, poems, plays, essays, et al.).I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
