Western societies face unprecedented challenges after the pandemic. One of these is related to the possibility, accelerated and enhanced by the restrictions introduced by governments during the emergency, of structuring social systems in which the relational dimension appears less and less central. Replacing it is the illusion of being able to build a 'comfortable society' in which technology makes human life increasingly disintermediated. The world of work, over which hovers the utopia of reduced fatigue thanks to technology and the remoteisation of work, does not escape this danger. The essay addresses these issues by emphasising their strong anthropological challenge.

Abstract
Western societies face unprecedented challenges after the pandemic. One of these is related to the possibility, accelerated and enhanced by the restrictions introduced by governments during the emergency, of structuring social systems in which the relational dimension appears less and less central. Replacing it is the illusion of being able to build a 'comfortable society' in which technology makes human life increasingly disintermediated. The world of work, over which hovers the utopia of reduced fatigue thanks to technology and the remoteisation of work, does not escape this danger. The essay addresses these issues by emphasising their strong anthropological challenge.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
