This collection of essays, written from different disciplinary perspectives, focuses the attention on the relationship among work, welfare and citizenship. It formulates some suggestions in order to "reconcile" them, through the valorisation of all kinds of work (not only those generating an income) and the promotion of the role of individuals, families and various social actors.
