Analysis of the metal objects from the deposits of the archaic phase of the sanctuary of Demeter Thesmophoros in Bitalemi. All the metal finds have been examined, fragmented and intact, analyzing them by type. It was thus possible to recognize the votive destination of the intact dedicated artifacts and the peculiarity of the practice of offering scrap of metal objects for the value of the raw material.
Analisi degli oggetti metallici provenienti dai depositi della fase arcaica del santuario di Demetra Thesmophoros a Bitalemi. Lo studio ha preso in considerazione tutti i reperti metallici, frammentari e integri, analizzandoli per tipologia. Si è potuta cosi riconoscere la destinazione votiva dei manufatti dedicati integri e si è evidenziata la peculiarità della prassi di offrire rottami di oggetti in metallo per il valore stesso della materia prima.
