Abstract
During the 19th century, state authorities (French, Austrian, Italian) established new fiscal policies which modified the agrarian development of Lombardy. With the new cadastre, the public authorities aimed to increase its income from land taxation and at the same time to improve Lombardy's agricultural yields. The public authorities had also conducted statistical enquiries throughout the 19th century in order to understand the real condition of the Lombardy countryside and to evaluate how to promote the use of new productive systems.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
