Abstract
Life in society is significantly structured through interactions that transport information, change practices, establish knowledge and know-how. These are mediation processes allowed by conceptual, linguistic, discursive and communicative units. The processes of verbalization in discourses and of evaluation of the conceptual and linguistic rigor of these units is the dimension of terminology work, which is presented in this book. Following nearly three dozen papers presented at the Scientific Journey of the Pan-Latin Terminology Network (REALITER), at the University of Algarve, in September 2019, the texts that show the richness of the discussions and the great diversity of perspectives. These texts reveal methods, practices and activities of terminology work, as mediation, developed over different domains and spheres of activity, in multiple contexts of uses of Romance languages and their variants and show relations with other languages, of which Arabic is an example. The results of multilingual terminological description are the guarantor of the maintenance of linguistic and cultural diversity and the essence of the trust we all need to build in linguistic mediation and communication.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
