Notti ἐπίρροθοι: sull'interpretazione di Hes. Op. 560

In its etymological meaning, this epithet reflects here the widely spread image of the running Night. So, ἐπίρροθοι εὐφρόναι can be understood as a cryptic name for the winter nights, which run and accumulate one after another.
