History telling. Esperimenti di storia narrata

This book provides both common readers and scholars with six examples of History Telling, a new project of historical knowledge transmission outside the university classrooms, which exploits the full potentials of artistic and theatrical communication without giving up the rigorous method of the historical reserach. The book is also the outcome of a long experience in the field of storytelling that Paolo Colombo have built up in the past fifteen years, thanks to his "Storiaenarrazione" laboratory. Over years, this project has filled up theaters with an ever-growing audience conquered by an exciting mix of scientific research and involving narrative. The introduction explores the "Storytelling" method, giving rise to a reflection on the meaning of History, its teaching and its conservation in collective memory.
