The Premessa sets out the reasons that inspired the study meeting, in particular the edition of the latest volumes in the rich series of 'Franciscan Sources' in Italian and Latin (only for the volume dedicated to the Franciscus liturgicus). Alongside this main motif, the desire to recall the figure and work of Giovanni Miccoli, who died in March 2017, soon emerged. The second part of this volume is dedicated to his work as a scholar and investigator of Franciscan sources.
La Premessa espone i motivi che hanno ispirato l'incontro di studio, in particolare l'edizione degli ultimi volumi previsti nella ricca collana delle 'Fonti francescane' in lingua italiana e latina (solo per il volume dedicato al Franciscus liturgicus). Accanto a questo motivo principale, si è imposta presto la volontà di ricordare la figura e l'opera di Giovanni Miccoli, scomparso nel marzo del 2017. Alla sua opera di studioso e di indagatore delle fonti francescane è dedicata la seconda parte del volume.
