The paper is related to the Italian National Research Council’s project “Territorial Impact Assessment of the Territorial Cohesion in the Italian regions. Place Evidence Model for Assessing Policies Devoted to Green Economy in Internal Areas and Metropolitan Inner Peripheries”. The paper applies the STeMA model of territorial impact assessment of policies to the specific case of areas defined as ‘inner peripheries'. The paper briefly outlines the characteristics of this territorial typology and the criteria used to identify it; then the paper outlines the Italian provinces that have been classified as inner peripheries. A crucial element in determining the “peripheralness” of these territories is their accessibility. The paper therefore analyses the aspect of infrastructural sustainability, considering the potential impact of infrastructural policies on Italian provinces that can be identified as inner peripheries.

Abstract
The paper therefore analyses the aspect of infrastructural sustainability, considering the potential impact of infrastructural policies on Italian provinces that can be identified as inner peripheries.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
