Detailed information is reported and analyzed on the numbers and types of firearms seized within the EU and on the illicit firearms used in shootings in the EU. The figures reported in chapter 4 were collected by the authors within the framework of Project FIRE and are analyzed according to the international literature on illicit firearms trafficking.
