This paper contains a survey of the numerous sieges that happened during the barbarian invasions of Greece at the middle of the III century A.D.; past evidence has been now increased by the new Dexippus: contemporary historiography deserved a great attention to the quickly developing ability of the barbarians in building siegecrafts and assimilating siege techniques.
