Chiesa e Islam in Italia. Incontro e dialogo

The volume, which is part of the initiatives promoted by the Ecumenical and Inter-religious Dialogue Office of the Italian Bishops' Conference, aims to illustrate and encourage the meeting and dialogue between Christians and Muslims. The understanding of Islam in Italy - explain the authors - passes through the knowledge of Muslim organizations, ecclesiastical law, the figure of the imam, but also through the concrete encounter in places of life: the community, the school, the oratory, prison, hospital. Without forgetting the daily dimension of Islam - from food rules to parties - and concrete attention towards the poor.
