La ritrattistica meditativa di Pietro Comolli

The essay brings to the attention for the first time in a scientific publication the figure of Peter Comolli (Milan, 1902-1977), an artist isolated from groups and movements, but a participant in the exhibition activity of his time, proposes portraiture that fits in the wake of the 'return to order' and Magic Realism. Through the study of his unpublished "Diaries" and the consultation of the archive, his activity as a portraitist is highlighted with lunges on works that have remained unpublished until now.

Il saggio porta all'attenzione per la prima volta in una pubblicazione scientifica la figura di Pietro Comolli (Milano, 1902-1977), artista isolato rispetto a gruppi e movimenti,ma partecipe dell’attività espositiva del suo tempo, propone una ritrattistica che si inserisce nel solco del ‘ritorno all’ordine’ e del Realismo Magico. Attraverso lo studio dei suoi "Diari" inediti e la consultazione dell'archivio, si mette in luce la sua attività di ritrattista con affondi su opere rimaste fino ad ora inedite.
