Premessa. Brevi note sui risultati del progetto di ricerca

At the end of a long phase of research and elaboration of historical maps, the third volume of the History of education in Italy between the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries finally arrives to the press, which joins the first two and provides a series of new studies, all original and based on a large and in-depth archival excavation campaign, and a series of historical maps, both new and original, which present the results of the research conducted. The essay provides an introduction to the objectives and results achieved by the research project, and an exhaustive picture of the conspicuous specialist historiography that the researchers involved in the research project have produced in these years, even outside the essays published in this volume.

Al termine di una lunga fase di ricerca e di elaborazione delle carte storiche, giunge finalmente alla stampa il terzo volume della Storia dell'istruzione in Italia tra Sette e Ottocento, che si affianca ai primi due e fornisce una serie di nuovi studi tutti originali e e basati su una ampia e approfondita campagna di scavo archivistico, e una serie di carte storiche, nuove ed originali anch'esse, che presentano in forma sintetica i risultati delle ricerche condotte. Il saggio fornisce un'introduzione agli obiettivi e ai risultati raggiunti dal progetto di ricerca, e un quadro esauriente della cospicua storiografia specialistica che i ricercatori impegnati nel progetto di ricerca hanno prodotto in questi anni, anche al di fuori dei saggi pubblicati nel presente volume.
