Far memoria dell'incontro: dal colore al quadro, dallo spazio al testo

In this paper I analyse the spatial description of two important meetings narrated in Proust’s Recherche: the first meeting of the young hero with Gilberte and the following one with Albertine, during his adolescence. I show the manifold interferences between the stylistic effects of these passages and the vision of Modernist painting (lines, colored spots, the idea of dynamism). From the vision of space as the “crossroads” of different arts I will finally define Proust’s space as an “intertext” where some beloved authors of Proust’s formation are hidden.
