Tra innovazione e conservazione: alcune questioni di fondo

The paper analyzes the results of an extensive survey on the religious orientations and the religious life of the Italians, conducted at the end of 1994 through 4500 face to face interviews to the population of 18-74 years. The issues handled include: the individual-Church-God relationships, the tendency to give prominence to the conscience of the individuals, the openness to other religions, the religiously motivated charitable work, the challenges towards the institution of religion and the affirmation of a religion without a church.

Il saggio analizza i risultati di una vasta ricerca sugli orientamenti e la vita religiosa degli italiani, realizzata alla fine del 1994 mediante 4500 interviste face to face alla popolazione di 18-74 anni. Le tematiche trattate riguardano: il rapporto individuo-Chiesa-Dio, la tendenza a dare centralità alla coscienza dei singoli individui, l'apertura alle altre religioni, l'impegno caritativo motivato religiosamente, le sfide nei confronti dell'istituzione religiosa e l'affermazione di una religiosità senza chiesa.
