The article deals with the archetype of the Triune Goddess in the Romantic period, and in particular in the context of the work of John Keats. The identification of the Goddesss Diana with the figures of Cynthia or Phoebe, Luna, Hecate or Proserpine emerges as a structural and unifying characteristic of Keats's poem, "Endymion". The research has as point of departure the different representations of the Triune Goddess, in order to document and analyse the way in which this mythic identity is used by Keats in the construction of his own identity. The work evidences how the different features and functions of the Triune Godddess are placed at the service of Keats's representation of his poetic, ethic, social and political ideals. Consequently within "Endymion" a network of allusions is constructed involving the Goddess and functional for the elaboration of Keats's poetic character.
