It stresses that the company's effective positioning in a supply chain is to be connected to an holistic vision of the business and in the acknowledgment that no business has a total and final control over the process of value creation and value distributioon to final customers. The conceptual and interpretative frameworks are applied to the analysis of the wood-working machinery industry and its main Italian players.
