Il lettore davanti al grande schermo: un possibile percorso attraverso lettere, letture e lettori al cinema

At the cinema, the spectator is a watcher and a listener at the same time. Nevertheless, the spectator could be also a reader. Following generally the development of the main cinematic tendences during the XX century, and focusing on the most acclaimed technical innovations in the biggest centres of production, in this essay is inquired the problem of the relation between books and films. The narrative and the themaitc structures of the second are analyzed and they are compared with those, fixed though the centuries, of the first one. In parallel, it is followed the evolution of the social and cultural context in which the film producer have adapted their products to the requests of the consumers.
