Abstract

The ecdotic and exegetic activity of the Alexandrian philology about Archilochus, whose traces in papyri are rather scanty, is documented by the evidence of a considerable number of poets who followed him as an example to imitate. Moreover, a new commentary on papyrus opens new ways for research on ancient archilochean exegesis.
