The purpose of the chapter is to highlight how learning needs and methodologies within organizations are changing, and what training objectives, contents, methods, and tools are supporting the digital transformation. Technology, with its exponential evolution, drives this process but the real challenge to success is people. Organizations require the right knowledge, skills and experience to guide transformation and sustain their competitive advantage. Technology rapidly evolves and organizations’ projects change, but sometimes the rate of the acceleration is so swift that it is hard for talent and knowledge to keep up. Training and learning play a central role in helping people to adapt to change. A new culture, mindset and employee learning experience are needed. In fact, how the training department drives its digital transformation and how it helps employees to develop their skills is paramount to support business strategy and goals. The chapter is based on exploratory case studies that can confirm the identified trends, and give suggestions on the different transformation paths towards a “smart” workforce.

Abstract
The chapter is based on exploratory case studies that can confirm the identified trends, and give suggestions on the different transformation paths towards a “smart” workforce.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
