This paper points out that human fallibility does not spring from the finiteness of human reason. If man were a pure knowing subject he would be only ignorant but not fallible because error has always a practical or volitional origin. Man is fallible because he is often forced, as a living being, to come to decisions without being in possession of all the necessary data.
