Kant’s lectures on metaphysics in the critical period reveal a much greater use of terminology taken from the handbooks of the Wolffian tradition than do his official writings. This cannot be explained only by means of the almost formal reference to the traditional ordo expositionis because, right from the pre-critical period, Kant polemically addresses this order with deep theoretical reasons. IN this context, the analysis of the lectures on metaphysics provides elements for a better comprehension of passages that are apparently contradictory, but at the same time it also enriches and complicates the interpretative framework.

Abstract
Kant’s lectures on metaphysics in the critical period reveal a much greater use of terminology taken from the handbooks of the Wolffian tradition than do his official writings.
