Dispersioni. Cultura letteraria a Mantova tra Medio Evo e Umanesimo

The book takes into account several apects of literary culture in Mantua from the accession to power of the Gonzagas till the end of the 15th century: the Petrarchan influences, the local men of letters, the manuscript circulation, the interplay of Latin and vernacular, the emergence of the Tuscan models. The edition of unknown an little known texts and documents in the second part of the book allows a better understanding of the cultural landscape of the town from the Middle Ages to the age of Humanism.
