This paper aims to investigate the development of the concept of “autonomia” during the IV and III century b.C. It is often in a close connection with the theme of the freedom (eleutheria) and it is often used in political and propaganda contexts. The cultural model is always the Aritoteles’ decree but, by the content, we can notice, far away from the years of the decree, a greater attention to specify the generic concept of autonomy.

Abstract
This paper aims to investigate the development of the concept of “autonomia” during the IV and III century b.C. It is often in a close connection with the theme of the freedom (eleutheria) and it is often used in political and propaganda contexts. The cultural model is always the Aritoteles’ decree but, by the content, we can notice, far away from the years of the decree, a greater attention to specify the generic concept of autonomy.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
