The thesis has as its question and research object whether and how it is possible to evaluate the impact of participation in social theater' s experiences on health, particularly on its social determinants; the research addresses the topic at both a theoretical and field study. The first section introduces the definitions and theoretical conceptions of "health" and "theatre" considered, highlighting elements of proximity, with an in-depth analysis of the experiences of applied theater and social theatre. The second section exposes and analyzes the existing and applicable evaluation methodologies both in the field of health and the performing arts (in particular applied theater and social theatre). present in the literature and in field experiences, detected through a mapping work of experiences of social theater for health in Italy. The third section proposes, in light of the first two, an original tool to evaluate the impact of a social theater workshop on a specific social determinant of health, namely social cohesion. After an analysis of the context of the case study - the social theater laboratory evaluated was carried out with primary school teachers - the section presents and discusses the design and application of the proposed methodology, highlighting its limits and potential for future evaluation experiences of theater experiences social in relation to social determinants of health.

Abstract
After an analysis of the context of the case study - the social theater laboratory evaluated was carried out with primary school teachers - the section presents and discusses the design and application of the proposed methodology, highlighting its limits and potential for future evaluation experiences of theater experiences social in relation to social determinants of health.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
