LE COMPETENZE NELL'IMMIGRATO DI PRIMA E SECONDA GENERAZIONE. DALLA NARRAZIONE AL RICONOSCIMENTO VERSO UNA CITTADINANZA ATTIVA

This project aims to purpose a change of perspective about immigrants: from being thought as people in need, to being thought as competent people. This research is based on social and intercultural pedagogy, thanks to which the gaze directs on the main theme: person as an infinite resource (Ricœur, 1997). Through Grounded theory, case study, and narrative inquiry, 11 first- and secondgeneration immigrants were interviewed to investigate whether and what skills were latent and unrecognized. Thanks to the MAXQDA data analysis software, search results confirmed, in a bottomup approach, the presence of little-used skills and brought attention to the theme of volunteering and commitment to active citizenship, in which everyone can contribute with their own resources and skills towards an enhancement of the self and the context.

Questo progetto di ricerca propone un cambio di prospettiva sul tema degli immigrati: dall'essere pensati come portatori di bisogni, ad essere pensati come persone competenti. A partire dalla pedagogia sociale e interculturale lo sguardo si dirige sull’assunto principale: l'uomo inteso come risorsa infinita (Ricœur, 1997). Attraverso la Grounded theory, lo studio di caso e l'intervista narrativa, 11 immigrati di prima e seconda generazione sono stati intervistati per indagare se e quali competenze fossero latenti e poco riconosciute. Grazie al software di analisi dati MAXQDA, i risultati emersi hanno confermato, in una logica bottom up, la presenza di competenze poco utilizzate e portato l'attenzione sul tema del volontariato e dell'impegno per una cittadinanza attiva, in cui ognuno possa contribuire con le proprie risorse e competenze verso una valorizzazione del sé e del contesto.
