The thesis, composed of three closely interconnected papers, focuses mainly on the social and cultural aspects of sustainability and aims to qualitatively explore the socio-cultural sphere in relation to the perspective of engagement of multiple actors within the tourist service ecosystem. The first work is conceptualized as a bibliometric review of the literature on sustainable tourism, social sustainability and engagement and employs three software (Biliomerix, CiteSpace and VOSViewer) for descriptive, conceptual and thematic analyses. Based on Service-Dominant Logic, the second paper addresses the theme of co-creation of sustainable value in the ecosystems of tourism services. The study proposes a process that highlights the dynamics of multi-actor engagement implemented by tour operators operating in the Italian sustainable tourism sector and identifies obstacles to the promotion and communication of sustainability in tourism. The third article – a case study on Cremona’s traditional-violin-craftsmanship – aims to identify the contribution of actor engagement in the promotion of value co-creation and the production of reciprocal benefits. To achieve these objectives, it emerges the need for all the subjects involved to communicate, cooperate and be moved by the common purpose of safeguarding and enhancing of local territory and transmission of the violin-making activity, UNESCO intangible heritage.

Abstract
To achieve these objectives, it emerges the need for all the subjects involved to communicate, cooperate and be moved by the common purpose of safeguarding and enhancing of local territory and transmission of the violin-making activity, UNESCO intangible heritage.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
