OGGETTO E MONDO REALE NELLA FILOSOFIA DI ROMAN INGARDEN (1893-1970)

The thesis retraces Roman Ingarden’s philosophy of the real autonomous object. The first section introduces the basic features of the thought of the Polish phenomenologist Roman Ingarden (1893-1970). It provides a contextualization within the Polish and German intellectual milieu, followed by an exposition of the fundamental elements of Ingarden’s debate with Edmund Husserl, to ultimately highlight the main features of Ingarden’s philosophical method. The subsequent part of the work retraces the fundamental stages of the Streit um die Existenz der Welt, focusing on the notion of the real object. Chapter II is devoted to the existential ontology developed in Streit I. Chapter III turns its attention to formal ontology (Streit II.1). Chapter IV analyses the totality of the real world (Streit II.2/III) governed by a single causal network. The Appendix offers an annotated chronology of Roman Ingarden’s writings.

Oggetto della ricerca è l’ontologia del filosofo polacco Roman Witold Ingarden (1893-1970), con particolare attenzione alle riflessioni sull’oggetto reale, autonomo e individuale contenute nello Streit um die Existenz der Welt. A fronte del noto anonimato della figura di Ingarden, una prima sezione introduce i tratti fondamentali del suo pensiero, fornendo una contestualizzazione all’interno del clima filosofico polacco e tedesco. Seguono un’esposizione delle direttrici fondamentali su cui si costruisce il dibattito con Husserl e una presentazione dei caratteri principali del metodo filosofico ingardeniano. La restante parte della ricerca ripercorre invece lo Streit, focalizzandosi sulla nozione di oggetto reale e su quella, alla prima correlata, di mondo reale. Il secondo capitolo è dedicato all’ontologia esistenziale contenuta nel primo volume di Streit. Il terzo capitolo volge l’attenzione all’ontologia formale (Streit II.1). L’ultimo capitolo prende invece in analisi la totalità del mondo reale (Streit II.2/III) come intero retto da un’unica rete causale. Da ultimo, si propone in appendice una cronologia ragionata degli scritti di Roman Ingarden.
