Starting from the collection and analysis of data available from open sources (e.g. newspaper articles and police and customs press releases) published from January 2010 to March 2015, the report represents an exploratory study on demand, supply and illicit market of the trafficking of firearms in the EU. Based on the results obtained, it also provides recommendations on how to improve the fight against and the prevention of this illicit trade.
