The image of the nature and the silence of the desert, in the monastic experience, become a symbol of the monastic life and of the hermit choice, as a model of renunciation of the world to serve the Lord. In solitude or in the community, the monks perpetuate so their fight against the evil and the experiences of St. Benedict, of Peter Damian or the Desert Fathers tell the epic story of these ascetics lovers of the seclusion in search of God.

L’immagine della natura e il silenzio del deserto, nell’esperienza claustrale, diventano simbolo della vita monastica e della scelta eremitica, come modello di rinuncia al mondo per servire il Signore. In solitudine o in comunità, i monaci perpetuano così la loro lotta contro il maligno e le esperienze di Benedetto, di Pier Damiani o dei Padri del deserto raccontano l’epopea di questi asceti innamorati dell’isolamento alla ricerca di Dio.
