The study of the mid 15th century so-called “Lamento di Calidonia” fragment (Milan, Biblioteca Ambrosiana, ms N 95 sup.) shows how Matteo Maria Boiardo played with well known narrative topoi in order to make them more efficacious. Some remarks are made about the connections between the “Inamoramento de Orlando”, the “Inamoramento de Carlo Magno” and some other anonymous cantari, and also about Pio Rajna’s first researches on early northern Italian texts. A critical edition of the “Lamento de calidonia” is provided.

Abstract
The study of the mid 15th century so-called “Lamento di Calidonia” fragment (Milan, Biblioteca Ambrosiana, ms N 95 sup.) shows how Matteo Maria Boiardo played with well known narrative topoi in order to make them more efficacious. Some remarks are made about the connections between the “Inamoramento de Orlando”, the “Inamoramento de Carlo Magno” and some other anonymous cantari, and also about Pio Rajna’s first researches on early northern Italian texts. A critical edition of the “Lamento de calidonia” is provided.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
