This introductory handbook of Russian linguistics is divided into four chapters, following the structure of A.M Peškovskij’s Russkij sintaksis, from which it draws inspiration: 1. the concept of wordform; 2. the concept of formal category; 3. formal syntactic and non-syntactic categories; 4. the concept of phrase. Through Russian morphology, syntax is then introduced. In addition to extensive comments on Peškovskij’s text, the handbook includes several exercises and in-depth studies.
