The paper elucidates in which way beauty as "consonantia partium" is at the origin of discourse cohesion. After an analysis of the congruity principle underlying discourse cohesion, particular attention is devoted to the processes of denomination and predication and to some of their anthropological implications, with a focus on the deep insights into the nature of noun offered by the Russian tradition.
