The paper reflects on a “pedagogy of the environment” as a discourse placed within the general pedagogy. The principal topics are the relationship between human and environment of life, activities, courses of environmental education and intentional analysis on the aims, values, procedures and methods to be adopted educating to a sustainable development.

Il contributo sviluppa il concetto di pedagogia dell'ambiente come discorso inserito all'interno della pedagogia generale. Gli argomenti trattati riguardano: la relazione tra l'uomo e l'ambiente di vita, le attività, i corsi di educazione ambientale e di analisi intenzionale sulle finalità, i valori, le procedure ed i metodi da adottare per educare ad uno sviluppo sostenibile.
