Tempo e vissuti

Time doesn’t exist in itself, as something to observe OR measure, but it is the result of individual perception. It is in fact a fundamental structure of human existence understandable first through body changes, sensory perceptions, alternation of thoughts, emotions, the unceasing change of relationships. The paper shows that in educational and care work it is necessary to refer to this description of time as it helps to understand the personal experience of the subject as well as the quality of the experience he or she is living.

Il tempo non esiste in sé, come qualcosa da osservare, misurare, ma in virtù del soggetto che lo percepisce. Esso è infatti una struttura fondamentale dell’esistenza umana comprensibile anzitutto attraverso i cambiamenti del corpo, le percezioni sensoriali, l’alternarsi dei pensieri, le emozioni, l’incessante modificarsi delle relazioni. Il saggio dimostra che nel lavoro educativo e di cura è innanzitutto a questa rappresentazione del tempo che bisogna riferirsi, la quale contribuisce a cogliere il vissuto del soggetto e la qualità dell’esperienza che nel tempo considerato egli realizza.
