Abstract

More than once the interference between creative work and literary reflection in Fogazzaro has been underlined. Criticism has instead neglected the fact that poems, stories and novels also have an assiduous meta-narrative vein. This study focuses especially on the short stories up to the second half of the 90s, dedicated mainly to the topic of literary writing’s limits in offering meaning.
