Carl R. Rogers (1902-1987), the founder of Client-Centered Therapy and Non-directive Education, has been recognized as “the most influent psychologist of America” and one of the most important “gurus” of Humanistic Psychology. His Person-Centered Approach represents the most important phenomenological and existential theory of the personality and a worldspread therapeutic and educational practice. This book explores his intellectual biography, the roots of his thought, the fundamentals of his “philosophy of interpersonal relationships”, and its extraordinary actuality in several fields: from psychotherapy and counseling to learning and education, from organizational behavior to intercultural communication and conflicts resolution. Thanks to his belief in the positive resources of human being, the legacy of Carl Rogers, 20 years after his death, preserves his revolutionary power for a variety of professionals involved in clinical, social and educational care, and for all people interested in promoting the whole wellbeing and developing the true potential of human beings.

Abstract
