In the centennial of birth of Ezio Franceschini the essay analyses two books of shorts stories written by Ezio Franceschini,Parole come sabbia, La valle più bella del mondo. On 13th december 2006 a commemoration of Ezio Franceschini was organizated by the Università Cattolica del S. Cuore for the centennial of his birth. Lorenzo Ornaghi, Rector of the University, presented the volume Per Ezio Franceschini nel centenario della nascita. Ricordi, lettere, profilo, (ed. by MIRELLA FERRARI - PIETRO ZERBI, Milano, Vita e Pensiero, 2006),of which he had written the preface. The reprint of two books of shorts stories (E. FRANCESCHINI, Parole come sabbia, La valle più bella del mondo, Milano, Vita e Pensiero, 2006) were presented and commented by Renata Lollo. Other tributes were dedicated to Franceschini's life and pursuits (Luigi Franco Pizzolato, Pietro Zerbi, Claudio Morpurgo, Francesca Minuto Peri, Giovanni Orlandi, Claudio Leonardi). Some speakers focused attention on specific aspects of his writing and scholarly activity (Nicola Raponi, Paola Sverzellati, Mirella Ferrari). Text by Leonardi, Raponi, Sverzellati, Ferrari, Pizzolato,Zerbi, Morpurgo, Minuto Peri, Orlandi, Lollo, Leonardi are printed in "Aevum"
