Gli 'auctores' greci di Tasso fra 'Giudicio' e 'Conquistata'

In this paper, Tasso’s last theoretical work, il Giudicio sulla Gerusalemme riformata, a self-exegetical piece, is examined for the first time, and the substantial, significant contribution of Greek writers, especially of neo-sophists and of the Eastern Fathers, is pointed out. The study, which also takes into account some unpublished annotations of Tasso, helps focus on the last stage of Tasso’s poetic thought, on the reconstruction of his library, and on the identification of the influence of the Greek doctrinal and literary heritage in some episodes of Gerusalemme Conquistata.

Il saggio esamina per la prima volta l'ultimo scritto teorico tassiano, di carattere autoesegetico, Il Giudicio sulla Gerusalemme riformata, mettendo in luce il cospicuo e significativo apporto degli scrittori greci, in particolare neo-sofisti, e dei Padri orientali. Lo studio, che si giova anche di materiali provenienti da postillati tassiani inediti, contribuisce alla messa a fuoco dell'ultima fase del pensiero poetico del Tasso, alla ricostruzione della sua biblioteca, nonché al riconoscimento dell’influsso del patrimonio dottrinale e letterario greco in alcuni episodi della Gerusalemme Conquistata.
